Remembering the innocent: Recognizing the fragility of ourselves

The Other Place

Dissonance calms
as wavelengths peruse
the earthy sands
print their scattered particles
like dust flames
exploring the moments

Bubbling experience
are the seas
waiting to erupt into
volcanic domes
lava
drenches all that make us:

Afraid is when the air feels nothing but pressure
and freedom; everything but still life.

    • I would love to tell you about them Hie- or at least what I think they could mean. I think the contradiction of images implies the notion that everything around us appears as what it is- what is real: we are always questioning the reality of things and the feelings that are derived from the reactions we have and create in response to ‘the real’. I guess in a line- it’s investigating what is real and the idea that things aren’t always as they are or appear to be- the question we ask: is this really happening to me/to us? Why? (Why is the innocence of mankind constantly put in harms way)? I think the Philos of why is the most important value to reflect upon in this piece.
